Thesis- and dissertation guidelines

Many master students in N.C. A & T complete a thesis and all PH.D. The students must complete a dissertation. The main objective of writing a thesis or dissertation is to develop original research and scholarships in a well-manufactured document that can be shared with colleagues and colleagues. The graduate colleague is responsible for complying with the theses and dissertations written by our graduates in consistent formatting and quality guidelines. After graduating, the final thesis / dissertation document is published electronically at the Proquest / Umi Electronic Thesis and Dissertation (ETD) database.

Feather 2021 deadlines

Note: The Student must have applied to graduate before the dissertation / dissertation can be checked. Please note the Academic Calendar for the deadline to complete a degree.

• Monday, March 22: Defense Deadline (last day to defend thesis / dissertation)
• Thursday, March 25, March 25: Submission period (last day for a large professor to send the three submission documents by e-mail. See section "Submission of documents to the graduate college" below for Details.)

• Tuesday, April 13: April 13: Signature page due (last day to deliver the final copy of the signature page, complete with original signatures of important professor, committee members and departmental chairman. This marks the conclusion of the Thesis / Dissertation Submission Process.)

Summer sitting I 2021 deadlines

• Thursday, May 27: Decoration period (last day to defend thesis / dissertation)
• Thursday, June 3: Submission period (last day for a large professor to send the three submission documents by e-mail. See section "Submission of the Documents to the Graduate College" below for details.)

• Thursday, June 24: Signature page due (last day to deliver the final copy of the signature page, complete with original signatures of important professor, committee members and departmental councils. This marks the completion of the thesis / dissertation Submission process.)

• Thursday, July 29: Signature page due (last day to deliver the final copy of the signature page, complete with original signatures of large professor, committee members and departmental council. This marks the completion of the thesis / dissertation Submission process.)

How to submit thesis / dissertation to the graduate college

The final / dissertation process has been updated (valid August 2020). Please read the subsequent documents of the process overview carefully.

Note: Forms & Graduate Faculty List
Thesis / Dissertation Committee and Defense Forms can be found on the Graduate College Forms page. The list of graduated faculty should be used to determine the characteristics of the committee member.

Note: Research Clearance Letter
As indicated in the overview documents, the work and dissertation research must receive a formal distance from the Office of Research Compliance & Ethics. To get the research game letters, the student should go to the Student Student Research Clearance page, read the instructions and submit the form to the displayed form. Please allow at least one week for an answer.The Office of Research Compliance & Ethics sends the research game book to the student's e-mail.
